This is our first trip to Hocking Hills. We are traveling with friends who have been here before. We originally rented a house called "Hocking Hills Farms". I wanted to share my story with all of you simply for entertainment.
Upon arrival at Hocking Hills Farms we were greeted by an ederly gentleman who was not expecting us. The house was not ready for renters. He brought up linens, and since he and his wife need to be on oxygen and it was very hot, we took it upon ourselves to to get the house ready for our two night stay.
After making beds, vacuming, sweeping, mopping, and bleaching the countertops, we unpacked and settled in. The house was actually charming when clean.
Shortly after dinner, we lost all of our water, apparently the water pump went bad (who new). We were very good sports , and used the bottled water that we had brought. We tried to settle into the hot tub for a bit, but it did not work....... again (who new?) we patiently waited but nothing was fixed, so we decided to move on.
This is how we ended up here at Old Mans Cave Chalets. What a difference. Water actually comes out of the faucet......(who knew???) Oh yeah the hot tub works.
This place is truley charming, and the service has been great. Next trip, we will definately be staying here!
Enjoy your stay
